Trelane is Dead, Jim.

A sad day in Star Trek history- one of it's most beloved guest star actors William Campbell died. Although he played a few different roles in Star Trek, my favorite is Trelane. Hereis his IMDB profile, and a more official post at StarTrek.com:

Happy 80th Birthday William Shatner!

For many of us, today is also known as "Talk Like William Shatner Day".

80 years old, and jumping over counters in his sitcom, singing on Late Night TV, 2 interview shows on cable, and people still clamoring for him to be in the next Star Trek movie... amazing. William Shatner remains an inspiration to me, and I maintain that EVERY actor should read his autobiography; it is... FASCINATING!

57% of Trekkies are WHAT!?!?!

I wouldn't have believed it, but after reading this post on MTV GEEK about a survey done for academia.edu, the finding for Trekkie stats seems incredible-
57% are FEMALE?!?!?!
